This massive restaurant, tucked between the Chelsea Market and the West Side Highway, offers everything you could want in a high-end New American meal before going out to indulge in the neighborhood's trendy nightlife. Upstairs, diners can partake of a menu designed by former Freemans chef Michael Citarella, full of raw bar specialties, small plates like grilled asparagus and ribbon pasta, and hearty classic entrees like arctic char and dry-aged strip steak. Downstairs, patrons can pass the time at the spot's retro-chic Gilded Lily bar before going out to hit the town (or just the block).
