The Woodlot

Description

As its name suggests, The Woodlot is a woodsy place where you can cozy up in booths or at the bar. Restaurateur John Dempsey (El Centro, Hell’s Kitchen) closed the long-running Vynl on this corner of Hell’s Kitchen, revamped the interior and installed an eclectic menu that covers all the bases. There’s comforting carbonara mac and cheese and crispy half chicken, for instance, as well as a vegetarian grain bowl and a beet burger with Russian dressing. The portions are generous.
