This pop-up in Lower East Side bar Boys Don’t Cry cooks up a Mexican specialty that’s recently trended in the City: birria, usually done as tacos with a side of consommé. Birria is a Mexican beef stew, the meat served with tortillas and other fixings and the broth a must-have. Viva Birria does the eponymous dish in beef, pork shoulder and jackfruit versions.
