This Swedish bar and eatery takes the ambiance of its sister establishment, Good World, and raises the quality a notch. White Slab’s Nordic touches—the bear taxidermy, the long wooden tables, large European windowpanes, chipped white porcelain pitchers hanging behind the bar—play nicely between rustic and cool. Libations include some authentic Scandinavian schnapps and unusual cocktails such as the floral-infused Lavender Lemonade and a gin martini garnished with sardines. The food may or may not be traditional Swedish (licorice-gratinéed lobster?), but it is certainly good.
