NYC Tourism + Conventions Member: Yes
A person opens a vintage wooden chest with metal clasps, releasing dramatic white smoke that spills over the sides. Plates of food and a glass of liquid sit on the wooden table nearby.
A modern restaurant interior with exposed brick walls, warm hanging lights, wooden tables, black chairs, and Japanese-style wooden panels with writing. Large face murals are painted on the back wall near an open kitchen.

Description

Sleek and dimly lit, Yakiniku Futago specializes in Japanese barbecue (yakiniku means “to barbecue” in Japanese, and futago means “twins”—so named for the owners, twin brothers from Osaka). In addition to beer and wine, their drink menu includes sake by glass or carafe, shochu and chuhai. Don’t be surprised if some Korean specialties also appear on the menu. Futago offers bento boxes and DIY barbecue kits to-go.
