Doc's Cake Shop

Among the items on the menu at this Bed-Stuy bakery (originally known as Doc D’s Southern Desserts), a few hint at its Southern origins—Mama’s Florida 7Up Cake, for example, or the Sweet Savannah Pineapple Coconut Cake. Other desserts will be more familiar to New Yorkers, like the red velvet, one of Doc's Cake Shop's most popular items. There are also cupcakes and a strawberry banana pudding. Cakes from the menu are available by the slice at the store, and with a bit of advance notice, Doc's Cake Shop can prepare cakes to order, for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
