Jill Platner

Description

Jill Platner is a sculptor by trade, and you can tell by the architecture and geometry of her pieces. Her handmade productions are, in a word, stunning. There’s an underlying punk aesthetic to Platner’s work; a controlled, structural chaos to her designs. She can be playful, too: one collection called “Moonwalk” knits angular metal shapes into unexpectedly beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings that take inspiration from Michael Jackson. Though some pieces can set you back a bit—each is handcrafted and one-of-a kind—there are lower-priced options that are just as spellbinding and lovely.
