Known as the shoe of choice for fashionistas both real and fictitious (we're looking at you, Carrie Bradshaw), the Jimmy Choo brand has become a celebrity in its own right—one so famous a last name is often no longer required. (Even that other one-named celebrity, Beyoncé, paid homage to the brand in song.) Yes, with even the most affordable styles priced somewhere around $500 (and the most expensive often well beyond $1,000), these are shoes that few of us can afford to buy without a hint of guilt. Still, the luxury brand remains as popular as ever, and this Upper East Side store—with its backlit, recessed display cases—is perhaps the best place in the city to peruse its diverse array of shoes, handbags and accessories.
