Centering diversity, the World’s Borough Bookshop sells and promotes books by BIPOC authors. That mission is a reflection of the store’s home in Queens, one of the world’s most diverse destinations. Founder Adrian Cepeda (BookPapi on TikTok) notes that the store’s slogan is “para y por la communidad” (“for and by the community”), and that ethos extends from their inventory through their events and other programming.
