Yara African Fabrics

Description

After immigrating to the United States from his native Mali, Moctar Yara sold fabrics on the streets of Harlem before opening his store in the heart of the neighborhood. Today the shop offers more than 200 prints ranging from woven mud cloth, wax print and batik to tie-dye and brocade. All are 100% cotton and sold by the yard. Yara's in-house team of embroiders and seamstresses also accept commissions for custom textiles and garments.
