Zakka

Out of Business

Description

Translated from the Japanese, "Zakka" means the design phenomenon of seeing the beauty in something mundane. Fitting, then, that this shop and artists' space carries a huge selection of T-shirts, books and motion graphics dedicated to all things creative, from the mundane to the extraordinary. In addition to being a highly regarded art book store that first opened in SoHo in 1994, the new DUMBO space also hosts unique events such as The Designer Toy Project.
