Here, the year’s marquee event is, of course, the US Open, which commences every August and ends in September at the main court, Arthur Ashe Stadium. If those dates seem far away, don’t be complacent—it’s never too early to start reserving tickets. Other times of the year, smaller tournaments abound for tennis fans, and the courts are otherwise open to the public, for a nominal hourly fee. The complex is just across from Citi Field, and 15 minutes away from Midtown on the 7 subway line.
