Winter Arts Guide 2026–27

Sponsored by

A great art exhibit or magical performance is never far from you in New York City, no matter your city location or the time of year—though in winter, everything sparkles a bit brighter.

This season is stacked with new displays, including miniatures at the National Museum of the American Indian, an anniversary show at Neue Galerie and a Black literature retrospective at the Grolier Club. Meanwhile, Harlem’s Urban Civil Rights Museum makes its debut.

In the performing arts, The Met Opera takes the stage, as do Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, the New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater. Get ready to applaud.
