Old Stone House

Description

Situated in the middle of Third Street’s playground and park, this small museum illuminates the history of Brooklyn during the colonial and Revolutionary War eras—with particular focus on 1776’s Battle of Brooklyn, the first major battle of the Revolutionary War. Surrounded by lush garden space, the Old Stone House is a frequent field-trip destination for Brooklyn schoolchildren, and the second floor is often used for local musical and literary events.
