A Semana Tartan de Nova York se concentra no Desfile do Dia Tartan (6 de abril), durante o qual gaitadores, dançarinos e milhares de marchands celebram todas as coisas escocesas. O grande chefe deste ano é o ator Dougray Scott. O desfile começa às 14h, subindo pela Sixth Avenue da 44th Street até a 55th Street. Durante os dias antes e depois, acontecem uma série de coquetéis, danças, leituras e apresentações musicais.
