Flavas International Grill

Description

This family-run restaurant has been offering Caribbean dishes since 2004. Jerk chicken, plantains, collard greens, yams and more island comfort foods are all on the menu, right in the shadow of Yankee Stadium. You may not want to bring a first date here—as its name would lead you to believe, the emphasis here is on flavor, not ambience—but takeout gets high marks from regulars. The rich and hearty oxtail stew is highly recommended.
