Serene luxury awaits at Hyun, a Korean barbecue restaurant with private booths enclosed by slatted wood doors. The Midtown space is small—only 40 seats—but has big ambitions. Prized Japanese A5 Wagyu beef is sliced by the ounce and sizzled in cast-iron pans over electric induction grills embedded in the tables. As long as you’re splurging, get the sot bap, a pot of rice generously layered with Japanese sea urchin and shaved Italian truffles. There is also a savvy list of sake, wine and spirits.
