Pondicheri

Out of Business

Description

During daytime hours Pondicheri is a grab-and-go Indian bakery and street food experience. The vast industrial space in the Flatiron District has ample seating in the form of counters and communal tables, which also work well at night when people without reservations stroll in for dinner and cocktails. Anita Jaisinghani founded Pondicheri in Houston; her daughter, Ajna Jai, helps run the show in Manhattan. The breakfast menu (served until 3pm) features the likes of masala eggs with carrot paratha. At night look for tandoori quail, chicken cooked in 25 spices and chickpea crepe pinwheels with coconut and cashews.
