Uncle Boons Sister

Out of Business

Description

Time-strapped fans of the Michelin-starred Thai food at Uncle Boons can zip around the corner to Uncle Boons Sister, a pint-size spin-off with counter service. The brief menu is based on recipes from co-owner Ann Redding’s Thai mother and aunts. There’s room in the cheerful, bodega-like setting for a dozen or so to stay and enjoy complex, spicy beef short rib and basil stir-fry or fat prawns on rice noodles with peanuts and tamarind sauce.
