Description

Musician and composer Nick Zinner (of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) presents his symphony 41 Strings on the plaza at Rockefller Center. This free concert will feature an orchestra of 50 musicians, including other NYC rockers like Paul Banks (Interpol), Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith's band), Jaleel Bunton (TV on the Radio) and Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem). Zinner composed 41 Strings for an Earth Day celebration in 2011, and it has been performed around the world since, with notable shows at London's Meltdown Festival and the famed Sydney Opera House. The concert begins promptly at 6pm.
