Description

Last year, the Morgan Library & Museum celebrated its centennial. In commemoration, The Morgan has pulled together this exhibition of purchases and gifts from its collection, ranging from as far back as the Middle Ages to today. Some of the extraordinary pieces included are manuscripts related to Queen Elizabeth I, Edgar Allan Poe and John Coltrane; two manuscripts related to the publication of Leonardo da Vinci’s Treatise on Painting; and drawings by Parmigianino, Annibale Carracci, Helen Frankenthaler and Giuseppe Penone.
