A Dark, A Light, A Bright: The Designs of Dorothy Liebes
This event has already occurred
Description
One of the most influential designers of the 20th century, Dorothy Liebes is responsible for the “Liebes Look”—woven designs that combine vivid color, lush texture and often a glint of metallic—which is an integral part of the modern American aesthetic. Throughout her life, Liebes collaborated with architects and designers and helped shape American tastes in interiors, fashion and film. This exhibition serves to highlight her many contributions to design as a collaborator, mentor and public figure.
