A Swinging Tribute to New York’s Greatest Generation
This event has already occurred
Description
Celebrate America’s World War II generation at this 1940s-themed swing dance party, where veterans will get a special reception and event organizers will pay tribute to President Franklin Roosevelt’s “Four Freedoms” vision. Following these tributes will be a dance party with an orchestra playing the big band music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Count Basie. Other special events will occur throughout the evening as well. Come dressed in your ’40s best—sailor and nurse couples and Rosie the Riveter getups are especially encouraged. Tickets are available online for $45 and VIP access for $75, with a special discounted admission of $35 available until July 31 using the code Promo2.
