This event has already occurred

Description

Sports video games have come a long way since the first one, Tennis for Two, debuted in 1958. The Museum of the Moving Image examines the “complex relationships between game, sport, media and culture,” including how broadcast sports and video games mimic one another, who is and is not represented in these video games and other analytical materials that help to underscore the relationship between the virtual version and the real thing. The exhibition includes more than 30 playable sports video games from the last six decades.
