Description
This comprehensive culinary exhibit covers over 400 years of African American influence on food in the US. It includes a restored version of Ebony magazine’s test kitchen from the 1970s, a quilt with hundreds of panels representing different dishes and a virtual reality experience filled with details on African American food and drink makers. There is also a shoebox lunch available for visitors to sample food inspired by the rich history, with recipes from noted chefs such as Carla Hall and Chris Scott.
