AIDS at Home: Art and Activism
This event has already occurred
Description
The Museum of the City of New York’s AIDS at Home series shines a light on the disease and its impact throughout New York City by bringing together photographers, artists and filmmakers to discuss its social, emotional and political effects from the 1980s to the present. In late May, the museum debuts an exhibition related to the theme, and on June 7 a discussion takes place surrounding activism in the 1980s and ’90s—and how artists and activists have shaped the way we treat and view AIDS today.
