American photographer Anne Brigman was a pioneer of feminist art, well before the phrase came into vogue. Brigman made her mark with her early 1900s landscape images, shooting herself and other female nudes out in the Sierra Nevada. More than 100 of her works are on display at NYU’s Grey Art Gallery.
