Description
Amalia Mesa-Bains is a longtime leading Chicana artist whose work explores feminism, cultural diversity and spirituality as a counter to racist and gendered repression. Among the 40 pieces in this exhibit are her Venus Envy series as well as the large-scale “altar installations” for which she is best known.
