BRIC, Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks have collaborated on this new installation by Brooklyn-based artist Emily Oliveira that explores the collective actions that have marked 2020 and 2021. The large mural, titled We Are at a Moment That Will Be Remembered as the Beginning of the Great Change, For Who Can Say When a Wall Is Ready to Come Down, is a view of an alternate future inhabited by both humans and gods and is inspired by WPA mural projects and Mexican muralism, especially José Clemente Orozco’s Prometheus.
