Being: New Photography 2018
This event has already occurred
Description
Since 1985, the MoMA has presented a biannual survey of the latest in contemporary photography, introducing the works of more than 100 artists to a wider audience. This year's exhibit presents the work of 17 up-and-coming photographers from the US and around the world. With a focus on more naturalistic style and timely representations of identity, highlights of the show include Matthew Connors' artful snapshots taken inside North Korea, Aida Muluneh's stylized primary-colored portraits of Ethiopian women and Carmen Winant's massive floor-to-ceiling collages on pregnancy and birth.
