Description
Will & Grace’s Debra Messing returns to Broadway as Ernestine Ashworth, who spends her 17th birthday pondering her significance in the universe. Then, traveling through the decades from age 17 to 101, Ernestine evolves from rebellious youth into more conventional adulthood, marking each passing year by preparing the same birthday cake. Vivienne Benesch directs Noah Haidle’s humorous and heart-tugging drama, which premiered at the Detroit Public Theatre in 2018.
