Description

This text-based installation by Brooklyn Hi-Art! Machine, a Crown Heights–based arts collective, uses the words of the late poet Lucille Clifton to convey resiliency and perseverance. Clifton's words, set against the backdrop of the Prospect Park Bandshell, draw on the daily struggle for survival that Black women continue to face.
