Description

The third in Cooper Hewitt's series that looks at humanitarian design, this exhibit is the result of Cynthia Smith's two years of fieldwork in post-industrial cities, metro regions and struggling rural towns. It encompasses more than 60 design projects from every region in the US and is divided by certain themes: act, save, share, live, learn and make. The exhibit is accompanied by immersive experiences in the museum's Process Lab for families, design students and professionals as well as a series of public programs over the course of the show's run.
