Carnegie Hall's newest season begins with an Opening Night Gala on October 3 with a performance by the Cleveland Orchestra. The year's program celebrates two of music's most acclaimed artists: Beethoven (in honor of the 250th anniversary of his birth) and Isaac Stern (celebrating the centenary year of his birth). More than 35 events during the season will honor Beethoven, courtesy of internationally renowned artists; while Stern will be recognized for his talents as well as his activism that helped save Carnegie Hall and make it into the institution it is today.
