Celebrate Juneteenth in Historic Seneca Village

Description

The Central Park Conservancy celebrates Juneteenth with an intergenerational community of musicians and poets in the historic Seneca Village landscape within the park. The free event includes live performances and poetry readings inspired by the lives of former residents. Visitors will learn about the invaluable history of Seneca Village and deepen their awareness of this significant 19th-century free Black community. The Seneca Village landscape is between West 85th Street and West Drive (enter the Park at West 85th Street).
