Description

Prolific author Charles Dickens might be most famous for writing the holiday classic A Christmas Carol in 1843 and the four Christmas novellas that followed it. This holiday season, The Morgan Library & Museum assembles all five of these manuscripts for viewing and explores the inspiration, composition, publication and public reception of A Christmas Carol, its impact on Dickens' life and why the story still resonates with audiences today.
