Commentary on the Commute: A Century of the New Yorker’s Transportation Cartoons
This event has already occurred
Description
New York City relies heavily on mass transit to shuttle millions of people around daily. It’s a complex and impressive system, but it can on occasion be cause for frustration from its users. Since its inception 100 years ago, The New Yorker magazine has found inspiration in the City’s transit system for its (frequently humorous) artwork. This exhibition at the New York Transit Museum pulls together commuter-oriented cartoons and covers in celebration of the magazine’s milestone anniversary.
