Dance Evolution at Orchard Beach

Part of the 2025 Photoville Festival, Dance Evolution is an outdoor photo exhibition that showcases the works of Bronx photojournalist Ricky Flores. See how salsa, disco, uprock and floor work all contributed to the evolution of breaking and the general dance scene of Orchard Beach in the 1970s and ’80s through this photo essay. Photoville wraps up on June 22, but this exhibition will be on display throughout the summer at Orchard Beach, Section 4.
