A group of young, greedy businessmen have set out to drill for oil in Paris—but not if Countess Aurelia has anything to say about it. In this revival of Jerry Herman’s 1969 Broadway musical, the “Madwoman of Chaillot” forms a posse of her own, including two other madwomen, a garbage man and two young lovers, to help her “save Paris and the world from greed.” Based on the political satire The Madwoman of Chaillot, the play is directed by Michael Montel in this limited run that is performed as a staged reading without the usual props, sets and costumes.
