Description

This installation of six new sculptures throughout the Park marks the Syrian-born, Brooklyn-based artist's first major public art work. The installation comprises two wall works combined with rows of hedges that reach heights of fourteen feet-the Conservancy's first commission that unites sculpture and plant materials; three reclining figures, called Synonym, that are placed on plinths; and a site-specific female figure atop a fragmented mountain in the reflecting pool. This installation is running concurrently with an exhibit of the sculptor's work at the Bronx Museum.
