Description

The Whitney’s latest, Dreamlands, showcases how artists have mastered moving-image techniques over more than a century to create incredible film experiences for audiences. The works on view will stimulate the senses, with color, touch, music, light and more effects in the form of installations, drawings, sculptures, performances, paintings and 3-D environments. The majority of pieces are courtesy of American artists and filmmakers, with a few German contributions from the 1920s mixed in. The exhibition also includes a film series in the third-floor theater.
