Description

Editta Sherman and her husband had already established a potrait photography business based out of one of the artist studios above Carnegie Hall when he died in 1954. Following his death, Sherman worked tirelessly to maintain the business and this exhibit showcases some sixty pieces from her archive. Among the highlights are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn author Betty Smith, Yul Brenner, and playwright Lillian Hellman, and many others.
