Description

Stop by King Manor—the only museum in Southeast Queens—for a rare chance to see an early draft of one of America’s founding documents, displayed in the home of Rufus King (1755–1827). A Revolutionary War veteran, framer of the Constitution, ambassador and senator, King dedicated his career to opposing the spread of slavery as the nation expanded westward. Today, his historic home is a free museum offering guided tours, community programs and more.
