The Museum at FIT celebrates 50 years of existence in 2019, having been the site of more than 200 exhibitions since the 1970s, many of them award-winning. Thirty-three of their most successful and influential ones are highlighted in this celebration, including Fashion and Surrealism (1987), A Queer History of Fashion (2013), Fairy Tale Fashion (2016) and Black Fashion Designers (2017).
