Description
Each fall the Queens County Farm Museum runs a series of family-friendly, harvest-themed events. The Agriculture Fair (October 3–4) features blue-ribbon competitions in livestock, produce and arts and crafts, not to mention pie-eating contests, hayrides and live music. Beginning the last weekend in August (and continuing weekends through November 1), enjoy the Amazing Maize Maze, where participants find clues, solve puzzles and wind their way through a 3-acre labyrinth of corn stalks. The harvest fun finishes with Halloween on the Farm (October 31), featuring kids’ games, hayrides and a petting zoo.
