This event has already occurred
Description
In honor of the centennial of the passage of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918, this exhibit explores the work of early environmentalists in protecting endangered birds. When the act passed, New York City was the center of the country's feather trade and as such, the regulations had an impact on hat manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
