Description
Stroll along Manhattan's most prestigious avenue, marvel at the stunning architecture and learn of Fifth Avenue's storied past and transformation in this walking tour. A guide will share stories of the prestigious families, from the Astors to the Vanderbilts, who called this once-residential area home during the Gilded Age. The tour takes place on four Saturdays in March and April, starting at 11:30am. It begins at the New York Public Library; stops include famed locales such as St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Cartier Mansion, St. Thomas Church, The St. Regis, Grand Army Plaza and The Plaza Hotel.
