50th Anniversary of Title IX

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Title IX legislation, a series of exhibits and public programs are happening in New York City. Highlights include Title IX: Activism On and Off the Field (May 13–September 4), at New-York Historical Society, which showcases the ongoing work of activists leading up to and following the legislation. The theme of the 2022 Diane and Adam E. Max Conference on Women's History was Title IX at 50: Women’s Fight for Access and Equity, and the recordings remain available. At the Paley Center, ESPN Presents Fifty/50: Honoring the Stories of Title IX (June 1–July 3) showcases outfits, photos and video from the people and moments in women's sports since the passage of the legislation.
