Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech
This event has already occurred
Description
Figures of Speech, initially shown in Chicago, is the first museum exhibit devoted to the late artist and designer Virgil Abloh. The show includes his collaborations with Takashi Murakami, Kanye West and Rem Koolhaas, along with his work for Louis Vuitton, where he was the first Black menswear director. One highlight is Social Sculpture, in the museum’s Great Hall, which Abloh created as a counter to the lack of space for Black artists in cultural organizations.
