Five Boroughs Music Festival

Now in its 10th year, this annual festival is a celebration of chamber music in both its classic and most modern forms. This year’s program will be centered on a second iteration of the Five Borough Songbook (the first was performed in 2011), which brings together 20 new works from 20 composers. The music is inspired by the City itself and, as you might have guessed, all its boroughs. Among the sonic attractions in this year’s lineup are Grammy-nominated vocal quartet New York Polyphony, string quartet Brooklyn Rider, world music band East of the River and ensemble Quicksilver.
